Is somethin right because God says so?

That is a very hole-filled argument, though I understand that you are not the one making it. If a deity exists (which I do not believe) it cannot be right merely because it is a deity. The same, flawed, logic could go to say (and I hate/love to do this) that Hitler was, in the end, right as he was the leader of Germany and, thus, was the moral authority. I know Christians and other theists would argue that "God", being above mankind (a different can of worms) is morally superior. If God asks you to do what would otherwise be considered an evil act, is it good? No, an evil act is still an evil act.
