Why do people hate on runescape so much?

so i quit runescape for like a few years, and started playing again like a month ago. And i find the game pretty fun and etc. I play alot now. I just dont get why people are always like. "oh that game sucks and so do the graphics! It blows". Me personally, i love the graphics, it reminds me of the old days when things were nice and not so high tech, i like playing it cause it gives me an old school feeling. So why do so many people hate on runescape? And why do people care so much for graphics?
