Mental illness-Real or not real?
Has anyone noticed that EVERYBODY seems to be taking some sort of antidepressant, anti-psychotic, stimulant or sleeping pill. About a third of school age children are taking some kind of adhd medication. Honestly I believe in real mental disease that must be treated. Someone said that mental illness isn't real because 200 yeas ago there wasn't depression or anxiety or adhd. I agreed with this statement, all though I feel that the rise of these disorder's stem more from the evolution and expectation of the would. We must conform to what world says is normal. 200 years ago people were to busy trying to survive to be anxious or depressed. The hyper active ones and the impulsive ones were the split-second do'ers that lived to see another day. Now, in 2011 we, as a people have become spoiled and complacent and bored. We have central heat and air, and the 1$ menu from Mc Donald's. Our primal instincts search for challenges and finds little. Here in lies the development of depression and anxiety and ext. Lets add to that, pre packaged food and preservatives and pesticides, ext. If you cannot conform to "normal" then you medicate ad psycho- analyze, beginning at about 1st grade. There is really nothing inherently wrong with these adhd kids. Children aren't meant to sit still for hours at a time They all have there own wonderful personalities and yes some are constantly bouncing around while others might daydream. Society has created a mold that we all must fit into. We must medicate in order to be part of our community. What side are you on? All opinions are welcome.
Does Evan Longoria remind you of a young Eric Chavez?
I think the similarities are palpable in that they're both great defenders at 3B, both considered young franchise players, both are good power hitters, and have a similar body build.
Why is an omnipotent God stating flawed points through his word of the Bible?
So, like Creationists, you think God actually dictated the bible in it's present form? Man, I haven't see much evidence of the more intelligent, more logical, better educated type that atheists insist they are, but this really takes the prize! Even I, a believer, don't believe God actually wrote the bible--or had it dictated.
Teens who read fiction: a question about names of characters in a story?
i only have an answer to number 3 and i definitly dont like the name Shar because i would always pronounce it as Cher and that would annoy me... and Sharana reminds me of a title of a series called Sword of Shannara soo yeah..
Needing some insight?
I've been knowing this guy for well over fifteen yrs. We're both in our mid to late twenties now. We grew up near one another and he is my older brother's best friend. We would joke around in high school and in recent years he has been flirting. I've told him numerous times that we wouldn't get pass flirting because he was my brother's friend. He obtained my number from my brother cause he tile him he wanted to ask me something. So he began texting and calling me. I didn't mind the flirting but I reminded him it wouldn't be anymore than that. Then one night we were both drinking and we basically we did things we should not have. The next day he called and texted saying that he felt guilty. He hasnt called or sent a tested. MY ACTUAL QUESTION: Was I basically used and thrown away after he got what he wanted OR is he not talking to me because he feels actual guilt?
How much protection can Israel realistically expect from a treaty or a treaty-like agreement?
First of all, is any Arab country occupying Israeli lands? Are they building Palestinian or Arab settlements in violation of International Law? With Israeli nuclear, biological and chemical weapons (and a will to use them, look up Operation Samson) so shouldn't the question be the other way around?
Does anyone have any experience with SnAgCu solder?
SnAgCu solder has a slightly lower melting point than the Sn-0.7Cu you're presently using, but the biggest problem is that you're not using any flux. I like the hypodermic-type of liquid flux dispenser, as it allows putting a very small amount (much less than a drop is all you need) directly onto the work, but I've also used a toothpick in the past. You also need some tip-tinner/cleaner and perhaps a hotter iron.
