What character traits do you like best?

There is no such thing as a trait that makes a character likeable. One of my favourite characters was Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov from Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment, and he was incredibly easy to hate. Just make them realistic, and provide lots of detail.
