Was "The Passion of Christ" the worst film ever made?

I am not disturbed by violence, that is not my problem with it but is just an inherently bad film that serves such little purpose that I cannot believe I managed to suffer through the entire film. Of the 120 minute of the film 100 minutes was just depciting the graphic savagery of Jesus and I cannot understand the point - to shock people, to sensationalise the death of Jesus? Its such a horrible, disgusting film with so little purpose, plot, structure and interesting dialogue that you learn nothing from it, the mind is left disgusted with little or no additional feeling or knowledge gained. The film is senseless.
